Define the subject
Use the manual selection tools to mark the area to keep or erase. Review the resulting outline against both a light and a dark background to spot leftover areas or missing details.
Refine the edge
Use erase and restore brushes to correct the cutout. Choose a smaller brush around intricate details, then inspect the subject again at the size it will be displayed. Export as PNG when you need to preserve transparency.
