If the task is simply removal, keep the desired outcome simple. A separate editing tool is better suited to replacing the object with a new subject.
Mark the object
Use the selection controls to cover the unwanted object. Include a related shadow or reflection when it also needs removal. Keep the selection focused so nearby subject details are not included accidentally.
Review the reconstruction
Assess how the replacement area fits the surrounding scene. Inspect texture, lines and lighting before accepting a result. A convincing reconstruction proposes new pixels; it does not reveal what was actually behind the object.
